Many people can relate to growing up poor in a Rust Belt town.  "Hillbilly Elegy: a Memoir of a Family and Culture in Crisis" is a true story written by J. D. Vance.

Copies of the book will be available at our Circulation Desk.  The group will meet at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 15 for discussion.

Armando Lucas Correa wrote "The German Girl," which is based on a true story.  Hannah Rosenthal and her family, along with her best friend, flee Nazi-occupied Germany.  They discover that their life overseas is not going to be as promised.

Bill Bryson re-creates the life of his family in the 1950s in "The Life and Times of the Thunderbolt Kid."  This is a warm and laugh-out-loud tale that reminds us that this was a happy time in which to grow up.
