For the fifth year in a row, Orrville Public Library has been recognized as a Star Library! Out of 7,573 libraries evaluated, we are honored to be one of the 263 libraries that received a star rating. The current rating is based on 2011 statistics. Services measured include library visits, program attendance, library materials borrowed, and public internet usage. We are very proud of our 3-star rating and feel blessed that we serve an outstanding community that appreciates and supports its library!
The Affordable Care Act includes sweeping changes and a number of options in healthcare coverage. There are a wide variety of resources available online that provide information about these options, and how to choose what is best for you. The staff of the Orrville Public Library can direct patrons to those resources.
It's never too early to start reading to your child. With this exciting new program we're encouraging you to commit to reading 1,000 books to your child before they go to Kindergarten. Children who listen to 500 books will earn a book to keep and those to reach 1,000 will receive a special "1,000 Books" t-shirt. Come to the Children's Department for details and to sign up.
