Book Club

Due to a lack of availability the Book Club will start off the new year with "Hillbilly Elegy: a Memoir of a Family and Culture in Crisis" which is a true story written by J. D. Vance instead of the original choice. Stop by the circulation desk to pick up a copy of Hillbilly Elegy and join the group for discussion on January 16th, at 6:30pm.

"Grandma Gatewood's Walk" will be read in May.

Book Club

The Book Club's December selection is "Mrs. Lincoln's Dressmaker" by Jennifer Chiaverini. Pick up your copy of the book at our Circulation Desk.  The group will meet for discussion at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, December 19.

Book Club

"Small Great Things" by Jodi Picoult is this month's Book Club read.  Ruth Jefferson is an African American labor and delivery nurse with more than twenty years' experience.  During a routine checkup on a newborn, she is told that she's been reassigned to another patient.  The newborn's parents are white supremacists and don't want Ruth to touch their child.  The next day the baby goes into cardiac arrest and Ruth is alone in the nursery.  Does she obey orders or does she intervene?

Book Club

"Big Little Lies" by Liane Moriarty is a brilliant take on ex-husbands and second wives, mothers and daughters, schoolyard scandal, and the dangerous little lies we tell ourselves just to survive.

Stop by the library to pick up your copy of the book.  The group will meet at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 17 for discussion.
