Orrville Public Library Friends will sponsor a Used Book Sale on Friday, October 6 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday, October 7 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The book for this month is "Grandma Gatewood's Walk." This inspiring true story is about Emma Gatewood, a 67-year-old grandmother who declared she was going for a walk and left her small Ohio town with a change of clothes and less than $200. The next time she was heard from she had walked 800 miles along the Appalachian Trail! She has been the only woman to walk the entire trail alone, not only once, but three times.
Armando Lucas Correa wrote "The German Girl," which is based on a true story. Hannah Rosenthal and her family, along with her best friend, flee Nazi-occupied Germany. They discover that their life overseas is not going to be as promised.
Pick up your copy of the book at our Circulation Desk. The group will meet at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 17 for discussion.
Pick up a copy of this month's pick and join the Book Club in discussion of "The Life and Times of the Thunderbolt Kid" on Tuesday, March 20th at 6pm.
