Join us as we take a step back in time with our Classic Movie Series.
Shown on Tuesday, August 27th, September 3rd & 10th at 6:00 p.m.
The first movie selection is the 1952 musical-romantic comedy movie, "Singin' in the Rain." The film features Gene Kelly, Donald O'Connor, and Debbie Reynolds in a depiction of Hollywood in the late 1920s.
The second in our Classic Movie Series is the 1940 Alfred Hitchcock movie starring Laurence Olivier. “Rebecca” is a gothic black-and-white film that follows the lives of a widower and his second wife. What really happened to Rebecca, his first wife?.
For the last movie in the series, we will enjoy this 1950 romantic comedy. "Adam's Rib" is about married lawyers that read about an attempted murder case in the newspaper and disagree whether the wife (the shooter) is guilty or not. Adam (Spencer Tracy), a prosecutor, learns he has been assigned the case. His wife, Amanda (Katharine Hepburn), seeks out the perpetrator so she can become her defense attorney. Will their own marriage be able to withstand the rigors of the trial?
Feel free to bring a meal or snacks to enjoy during the movie. We'll provide popcorn
