Teen Read Week

Primary tabs

Celebrate Teen Read Week with us!  Students in 7th through 12th grades are invited to stop by for their chance to win a prize.

The more things you participate in, the more entries you will receive for your chance to win a Swag Bag that contains a water bottle, pen, candy, and some other fun things!

Write a book review and turn it in to our Reference Desk for a prize entry ticket.  Take a selfie with our #OrrvilleTeensRead photo frame, show it to the Reference staff, and earn another prize entry ticket.  Take as many selfies as you wish but you only get one prize entry ticket.

Monday, October 8 - check out a Young Adult book and get a prize entry ticket.  This is good only on Monday.  Hint:  Do a book review to earn another prize entry ticket!

Tuesday, October 9 - Come to our 'Old Book, New Craft' event at 4 p.m. where you will learn how to make a flower and other things using old book pages.

Thursday, October 11 - Everyone is invited to bring in their device to learn how to use Libby and Hoopla.  At 4:30 p.m. we will try to set a world record for "most ebooks read in a public library at one time."  This record is through RecordSetter.com and is currently set at 9 ebooks.  This event is for all of our patrons and staff, as well.  We will video the reading and post it on RecordSetter's website.

Saturday, October 20 - A week later, we will be showing the PG rated movie, "A Wrinkle in Time" at 12:30 p.m.
