StoryWalk®

StoryWalk® is a fun, educational activity that places a children's storybook along a walking trail within the community. This project was created to help build children's interest in reading while encouraging healthy outdoor activity for all. Stories along the Storybook Trail will change monthly April-November with a break during winter months.

The 2023 StoryWalk® will feature:

April - "Chicka Chicka Boom Boom" by Bill Martin Jr.

May - "Mother Goose Rhymes Las Rimas de Mama Oca"

June - "Bug Hunt" by Editors of Storey Publishing

July - "Senorita Mariposa" by Ben Gundersheimer

August - "A Farmer's Life for Me" by Jan Dobbins

September - "Grow Strong! A book about healthy habits" by Cheri Meiners

October - "Bicycle Book" by Gail Gibbons

November - "Where the Wild Things Are" by Maurie Sendak

This year we are also having a StoryWalk® Challenge. Enjoy a new book each month while you explore the Storybook Trail. Stop by the library for and to submit an entry form each time you complete the monthly StoryWalk®. There will be monthly prize drawings. All entries will be entered for a chance at the grand prize.

“The StoryWalk® Project was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, VT and developed in collaboration with the Kellogg-Hubbard Library. StoryWalk® is a registered service mark owned by Ms. Ferguson.”
