Military Photos Needed

Honoring our military

Serving in our military is a great honor, but it also comes with much sacrifice for both the soldier and their family.  Freedom is a hard-fought battle that occurs on a daily basis.  Orrville Public Library invites you to pay tribute to our military men and women, as well as their families, by honoring and remembering those who have served and continue to serve.

Morgan Winget, who passed away in 2014, was an Air Force veteran and an avid Civil War and history buff.  He was a great supporter of everything Orrville and was a long-time and much-loved fixture in the community.  With his passing, the library received many donations in his memory.  With those donations his family chose to have two permanent display cases built on the upper level of the library.  One of those cases has been dedicated to remembering our local military members, both past and present.  The current items on display have been arranged by Georgene Wright from the Historical Society.

The library invites you to bring in a photo of your loved one for display.  We will scan the photo so you may take your original back home with you.  All photos will be placed in 4 x 6 frames and placed in the display case. For more information, contact the library at 330-683-1065.
