Services and Programs

The library provides free Wi-Fi and a wide range of in-house services,.

The "Coppa Collection" is an extensive collection of local events on video. Find out more here.

We are also happy to provide a number of special services for children.

For upcoming events for children and adults, see our calendar.

More special services provided for adults using OPL include the following:

Interlibrary Loan:

When OPL and the CLEVNET library consortium do not own a book, journal, or other material that you need, we will try to obtain the item from a library outside the consortium.

There is a minimum $2.00 charge per item for this service.

Homebound:

Patrons who are unable to get to the library may request to join OPL's homebound program.  Volunteers will pick up and deliver library materials to anyone in the Orrville City School District who cannot come to the library due to physical limitations. Contact the library to register an individual for this program.

Hold-That-Book:

The "Hold-That-Book" program at OPL allows patrons to fill out a form selecting their favorite authors from a list.   When any of those selected authors release new material, your name will automatically be placed on the holds list.

Book-A-Librarian:

This service allows you to reserve a 30-minute session where you can have one-on-one time with a librarian for basic computer learning.  Topics include a basic introduction to computers, Internet basics, E-mail account setup, and use, or other topics. Sessions must be booked in advance.

Contact the library to schedule a session.

Electronic Updates:

You can receive library notifications via e-mail, including holds that are available, overdue alerts, and account status updates through My Account on the online catalog.

We also have an electronic newsletter that allows you to be the first to get news on all our new materials and events. Click here to sign up.
